Who We Are
L.J. Lumpkin III M.A. LMFT
Founder & CEO
With over a decade of experience in mental health, I bring a multicultural and integrated approach to therapy and coaching that is deeply rooted in mindfulness and Gestalt practices. My commitment to individualized care is reflected in my recently published book, "Climbing out of the Box: A Path of Healing from Systemic Racism," aimed at empowering the BIPOC community and clinicians to navigate the complexities of healing.
Central to my therapeutic philosophy is the belief of meeting clients where they are, acknowledging the uniqueness of each individual's journey. I firmly reject the notion of a one-size-fits-all approach, recognizing the diversity of experiences and backgrounds. Specializing in working with First Responders, Veterans, Health workers, Athletes grappling with trauma, or performance issues. I offer a supportive space for healing.
In addition to my diverse therapeutic toolkit, I bring expertise in psychedelics to the table. Recognizing the transformative potential of psychedelics in therapeutic settings, I integrate this knowledge to provide a holistic approach to healing. Constant growth is a cornerstone of my practice, and I extend this commitment to my clients.
Drawing from various modalities such as exercise, yoga, meditation, nature, ceremony, and the transformative potential of psychedelics, I guide individuals in cultivating a new awareness within each life lesson. This holistic approach fosters healing across the mind, body, and spirit.
As a therapist, coach, and former D1 athlete, I hold myself to the same high standards of growth that I encourage in my clients. Together, let's embark on a path of self-discovery and resilience, where each client's unique narrative is honored, and healing is a collaborative and transformative experience.

Hello relatives, my name is Brian, I use he/him pronouns. My roots trace back to southeastern Turtle Island, West Africa, and Europe. Thank you for considering me as a partner in your healing process. With lived experience in liminal spaces, I often work with people who find themselves in "in-between" places.
My practice is significantly grounded in the therapeutic relationship, recognizing and nurturing your inner capacity for healing and well-being.
My approach is strength-based, rooted in trauma theory, and acknowledges the interrelatedness of all aspects of self, family systems, and cultural influences. I approach the recurring themes and patterns in your life with curiosity and gentleness, seeking to understand and respect what brought you to therapy. I utilize mindfulness practices, acceptance, and attachment-based modalities. With training in Somatic Experiencing and EMDR, I integrate these approaches to honor the mind-body-soul connection.
Throughout my career, I have worked in various settings, addressing complex issues. Additionally, I have experience and training in working with high-level athletes at the high school, collegiate, and Olympic levels, supporting their unique performance goals.
